Preliminary Report

A preliminary engineering report conducted in October 2019 identified 14 areas of concern along the two streams that flow through the Stonemeade neighborhood. Below is a list of the 14 and their current status.

Site 1

Concrete lined ditch behind 204 and 208 Still Water Circle

Observed Condition: Separation and settlement of concrete ditch lining

Status: Unresolved

Site 2

Concrete lined ditch behind 204 and 208 Still Water Circle

Observed Condition: Undercutting and erosion at existing concrete ditch lining

Status: Unresolved

Site 3

Concrete lined ditch behind 204 and 208 Still Water Circle

Observed Condition: Undercutting and erosion at existing concrete ditch lining

Site 4

End of concrete lined ditch behind 108 Rushing Brook Circle

Observed Condition: Undercutting and scour hole at end of existing concrete ditch lining

Status: Unresolved

Site 5

Pipe and outlet ditch between 104 and 108 Rushing Brook Circle

Observed Condition: Plugged storm sewer pipe from cul-de-sac to outlet ditch, including ditch

Status: Resolved by City

Site 6

5113 Millbrook Drive (east of home at 5113 Millbrook within stream)

Observed Condition: Stream bank erosion

Status: Unresolved – Priority

Site 7

Pipe and outlet ditch between 313 and 317 Mill Run Circle

Observed Condition: Partially plugged storm sewer pipe from cul-de-sac to outlet ditch

Status: Resolved by City

Site 8

Rear and side yard of 5032 and 5036 Stonemeade Drive

Observed Condition: Excessive run-on stormwater flows from upland areas

Status: Unresolved – Priority

Site 9

Common area behind 4713 thru 4733 Holly Springs Road

Observed Condition: Recently excavated ditch appears to have insufficient slope

Status: Unresolved

Site 10

Pipe and outlet ditch between 4628 and 4629 Sandy Creek Road

Observed Condition: Partially plugged storm sewer pipe from cul-de-sac to outlet ditch

Status: Resolved by City

Site 11

Pipe between and headwall behind 5212 and 5216 Beech Ridge Road

Observed Condition: Partially plugged storm sewer pipe and broken headwall

Status: Unresolved – City responsible but not bad enough to address yet

Site 12

5001 to 5025 Stonemeade Drive (behind homes along east side of stream)

Observed Condition: Stream bank erosion

Status: Unresolved – Priority

Site 13

Pipe and outlet ditch between 5017 and 5021 Stonemeade Drive

Observed Condition: Partially plugged storm sewer pipe from roadway to outlet ditch

Status: Unresolved – City responsible but not bad enough to address yet

Site 14

Minor stream behind 416 and 417 Ramble Wood Circle

Observed Condition: Stream bank erosion along west side of channel

Status: Unresolved – Priority
